YEAH
HOME

Jeffrey Michael Heckbert (b. 1984) is a Canadian furniture and object designer working under the studio name Heck Yeah Home from a small lakeside village in Ontario.

Through his independent studio practice, Heckbert creates solid hardwood furniture and sculptural home objects that contrast contemporary character with traditional craftsmanship.

As a self-taught maker, Heckbert is informed by a deep engagement with film and literature, and his work often treats furniture as an object with memory and narrative presence.

His pieces explore asymmetrical composition, pairing practical use with bold silhouettes and a warm, playful sense of permanence.

Heckbert’s work includes one-of-a-kind objects and open-series designs: recurring forms that evolve through wood selection, proportion, finish, and handcrafted detail.

A limited number of private commissions are accepted seasonally.

Heck Yeah Home has been featured in The Toronto Star and Apartment Therapy.

MATERIALS
AND PROCESS

Heckbert works primarily with solid hardwoods, selected for their grain, tone, density, and long-term durability. His work also incorporates accent materials such as stained glass, handcrafted ceramics and tile, and collected river rock.

Each piece is built to foreground the natural character of the materials, allowing variation in figure, colour, and movement to become part of the final work.

Open-series designs may share a recurring form, but each object is individually shaped by its wood species and handcrafted nature.
