Solid maple, mahogany & purpleheart wood inlays: nautical motif. One boat scene on top of seat, two underneath.
Wood variation: moderate, with some sapwood.
The Character of Handmade Wood
Every Heck Yeah Home piece is individually constructed and finished by hand. Subtle variations in proportion, joinery, surface texture and finish are natural evidence of the handcrafted process and are a part of the piece’s history and character.
Wood is a living, natural material. Variations in grain, tone, knots and other organic characteristics make each piece unique. Solid wood may also expand, contract or shift subtly in response to seasonal changes in temperature and humidity. This level of movement is part of the character and individuality of an original, studio-made wood object.
Cherry wood and the brass maker’s mark will naturally darken and patina over time. These materials were selected intentionally for their ever-changing nature and ability to contribute to the story of each object.
Ledger and Registration
Each completed piece is an edition of one, and is intended to be a collectible, heritage-quality object that can be lived-in, loved, and passed through generations.
